In the Summer of 2017 Bartram's Garden Community Boat House launched a Summer High School Internship in partnership with Philadelphia Waterborne and Philadelphia Youth Network.
The interns paddled kayaks and rowboats from the Batram's dock to Center City Walnut Street Dock. Along the way they took photos of interesting and intriguing structures and wildlife. The program concluded with an exhibition where they displayed their photo-essay of the Lower Schuylkill River.
The tour will continue to evolve as each year the interns add historical research, photographs and visual data to the previous year's work.
