Description
This collection gathers projects realized by students enrolled in a class taught at Penn by Professor Bethany Wiggin. The class was called Liquid History and Floating Archives. Beside readings and traditional discussions with a focus on the riverscape of the tidal Schuylkill, students were required to complete a series of walking exercises and field note-takings. Such embodied field work invites trans-historical dialogues and reflections on research methods that the students included in the course blog and in their final collective post. At the end of the semester, each student contributed a digital object to the collection, and the class collectively crafted a curatorial statement for a forth-coming collective exhibit and a tour.
